la furia del hombre lobo

American trailer provided by Don Cunningham

THE BLU-RAY FROM SCORPION

LA FURIA DEL HOMBRE LOBO was the third Waldemar Daninsky film. Though made after LOS MONSTRUOS DEL TERROR, it took a couple of years before it was exhibited in Spain. By the time it was shown, the next Daninsky film, LA NOCHE DE WALPURGIS was released, one of the biggest hits in Spain of the fantastique genre.

The director this film, J.M. Zabalza, was frequently drunk and ruined the serious intent of the film for viewers. Nevertheless, it contains some excellent sequences and has Perla Cristal in an impressionable role and a counter to the maleness of Daninsky. Of all the females in the Daninsky films, she has to be the most striking and developed character-wise.

Scorpion did a noteworthy job in their Blu-Ray, presenting the film properly, which before was mostly full-frame and cut. Unfortunately, some of the elements had to be taken from a foreign video, with resultant lessening  of quality in these brief scenes. The captures are by Don Cunningham.
